About Mixoff — Office Productivity Suite
Mixoff is a local-first Windows desktop productivity suite built with Tauri 2, Rust, React, and TypeScript. It combines Documents, Sheets, Slides, Mixoff Flow, and optional AI assistance in one application.
**Documents:** Rich-text editing with formatting, tables, images, hyperlinks, paginated editing, Smart Paste, DOCX import/export, and PDF output.
**Sheets:** Editable workbooks with formulas, charts, filters, formatting, drag fill, and CSV/XLSX import/export.
**Slides:** Editable presentations with text, shapes, images, presentation mode, PPTX import/export, and PDF output.
**Mixoff Flow:** Generate linked documents and presentations from spreadsheet data, with preview-based manual refresh and conflict detection.
**Intelligence (AI):** Supports local models through Ollama/llama.cpp and OpenAI using your own API key (BYOK). Includes writing assistance, summarization, formula suggestions, data insights, and slide content generation. AI changes require user approval, with credentials protected through Windows native storage.
**Storage & Reliability:** Native .mixdoc, .mixsheet, and .mixslides formats with atomic saving, conflict protection, and recovery. Core editing works offline without an account or cloud database.
**Developer Package:** Includes Windows x64 source code, lockfiles, setup instructions, architecture documentation, and automated tests. Designed for developers and teams seeking a customizable productivity application.
**Limitations:** Office import/export supports selected features only. macOS and Linux are unverified. The optional managed-AI gateway remains experimental, with no production deployment or live subscription system.

Reviewer notes (4 minor)
Structure is modular, but minified-looking single-line files and a dense scripts/ folder hurt maintainability; database rules not verifiable: managed-ai sqlite gateway source was not shown; no injection evidence found; managed ai gateway auth is documented but its code was not visible; the desktop app has no web routes; locked and mostly pinned deps, but xlsx comes from a cdn tarball, plus pre-release/unverifiable versions; mostly reproducible with lockfiles, but archive layout, setup doc and tooling prerequisites have gaps. None of these stop the software from working; the developer has been told and improvements come in a future update.
