About this software
About Mixoff Productivity Suite
Mixoff is a source-edition desktop productivity suite for Windows x64 (version 1.2.0-dev.1), built with Tauri, React and TypeScript, with a Rust native layer. It combines a Documents editor (Tiptap-based), a Sheets editor with a deterministic formula engine, and a Slides editor, all in one application shell with native .mixdoc, .mixsheet and .mixslides files. Mixoff Flow generates reports and presentations from workbook data and refreshes them only after a previewed, explicit approval. The core editors work offline with no account, API key or database. An optional Node-based managed-AI service with SQLite exists as a private sandbox only, and live billing is not configured. Evidence is from headless browser tests with mocked native file I/O, so installed-Windows behaviour and Microsoft Office visual parity are not established.
Why Mixoff Productivity Suite
What makes it better
than the alternatives
- 01
Three editors, one shell
Documents, Sheets and Slides use structured models and their own native file formats within a single desktop app.
- 02
Guarded file safety
A Rust file-safety crate provides conditional atomic saves, conflict detection and recovery journals, so competing user data is not silently overwritten.
- 03
Mixoff Flow
Preview workbook-driven reports and decks, then approve full or selected section/slide refreshes; manual edits outside generated portions are kept and conflicts are flagged.
- 04
Office interchange subsets
Import and export supported DOCX, XLSX and PPTX subsets plus TXT, CSV and print/PDF output, with limits documented in a format datasheet.
- 05
Offline writing resources
Bundled fonts (Inter, Source Serif 4, Bengali fonts) and an offline en-US spellcheck dictionary run in a worker, supporting Bengali/English writing.

``` npm ci npm run dev ``` For the desktop shell: `npm run tauri -- dev`.
``` npm ci npm run build npm run tauri -- build ``` The build runs metadata checks and TypeScript checks before the Vite production build.
``` docker build -t mixoff-managed-ai services/managed-ai docker run -p 18082:18082 --env-file services/managed-ai/private.env -v mixoff-data:/data mixoff-managed-ai ``` Create `private.env` from `.env.example` with your own secrets. Docker was not run in the source evidence, and the service is a private sandbox. Live billing is not configured.
Quality report
Manually reviewedHow to read the quality report
What this is. Every project on Vibe96 goes through an automated audit of its source code before a reviewer in Dubai checks it by hand. The score is out of 100; 75 is the minimum to be listed, and any single failing check blocks a listing regardless of the score.
- Security
- No real credentials in the code, every data-changing route protected, admin areas role-gated, no SQL built from user input.
- Code structure
- A developer can navigate and extend it: clear module boundaries, no giant files, little copy-paste.
- Docs & completeness
- The setup guide, example config, schema and required files the builder committed to are actually in the archive.
- Dependency health
- Packages pinned, no known critical vulnerabilities, no abandoned libraries in production paths.
- Build & deploy
- A clean machine can restore, build and start it by following the shipped instructions.
Warnings are problems that didn't block the listing; they stay visible here until a later version clears them. The audit reads the code — it does not run it — so always try the live demo before you buy. Lines of code are counted from the same audited archive.
Reviewer notes (4 minor)
Structure is modular, but minified-looking single-line files and a dense scripts/ folder hurt maintainability; database rules not verifiable: managed-ai sqlite gateway source was not shown; no injection evidence found; managed ai gateway auth is documented but its code was not visible; the desktop app has no web routes; locked and mostly pinned deps, but xlsx comes from a cdn tarball, plus pre-release/unverifiable versions; mostly reproducible with lockfiles, but archive layout, setup doc and tooling prerequisites have gaps. None of these stop the software from working; the developer has been told and improvements come in a future update.
